The National Mining & Construction Equipment Division (MCED) of CII organised a Government–Industry Roundtable with senior officials of the Government of Jharkhand on 19 May 2026 in Ranchi.

The interaction was attended by Shri Arava Rajkamal, IAS, Secretary, Department of Industries,Department of Mines & Geology-cum-Chairman, JSMDC Ltd., Government of Jharkhand; Shri Rahul Kumar Sinha, IAS, Director ,Mines; Shri Vishal Sagar, IAS, Director Industries; and Shri Varun Ranjan, IAS, Managing Director, JIADA & JIIDCO.

Industry participants included Mr Vivek Bhatia, Chairman, CII National Mining and Construction Equipment Division and Managing Director, TKIL Industries Ltd, Mr Diloo Parikh, Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Director, Vaidehi Motors Pvt Ltd, Mr D B Sundara Ramam, Vice-Chairman, CII Jharkhand State Council & Vice President (Corporate Services), Tata Steel Limited along with leading stakeholders from the mining and construction equipment ecosystem, including OEMs, component manufacturers, technology providers, mining companies, MSMEs, and service organisations.

The session focused on discussions around mining, infrastructure, manufacturing, technology adoption, sustainability, investment opportunities, and strengthening the mining and construction equipment ecosystem in the State.
Addressing the industry, Shri Arava Rajkamal stated that the Government of Jharkhand currently has an investment pipeline of approximately ₹1.5 lakh crore across sectors. He said that Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Hemant Soren has a vision for a developed Jharkhand with greater economic prosperity for it’s people.But the CM’s vision has high importance for fair rehabilitation and indigenous population sharing the rewards of development.He informed that Jharkhand has close to 44% of the mineral of the country hence making it the perfect investment destination for Mining related industry.The state has the potential to become an Industrial behemoth in Mining Equipments production.He informed that the Government is conducting stakeholder consultations for Jharkhand Industrial Development. He also invited industry members to share their inputs and suggestions for the policy.
The Secretary informed that the State is planning to establish a Centre of Excellence in Ranchi focused on critical minerals and rare earths. Discussions were also held around emerging opportunities in areas such as graphene and the importance of sustainable sourcing including Organic Agriculture.
He further stated that the Government would share upcoming requirements and demand projections with CII for wider circulation among industry members to facilitate better industry preparedness and participation. Discussions were also held on the Government’s procurement outlook over the next five years, investment opportunities, and strengthening the mining equipment, processing, and supplier ecosystem in the State.

During the interaction, industry members discussed collaboration opportunities in areas such as technology adoption, mine modernisation, skilling, sustainability, and supplier ecosystem development. Members also highlighted concerns relating to mines approaching expiry by 2030, auction processes, land availability, and the need for faster deployment of advanced technologies across mining operations.
Speaking during the session, ShriVivek Bhatia stated that the Mining & Construction Equipment sector today plays an important role in supporting industrial growth, infrastructure development, and manufacturing competitiveness.
He highlighted that the growing focus on critical minerals, mine modernisation, cleaner technologies, and electrification of mining and construction equipment would create significant opportunities for the sector in the coming years. Mr Bhatia also referred to the increasing focus on In-Pit Crushing and Conveying (IPCC) systems and conveyor-based coal transportation to improve operational efficiency and enhance safety in mining operations.
Mr Bhatia reiterated that through the CII Mining & Construction Equipment Division, the industry remains committed to working closely with the Government of Jharkhand and contributing constructively towards the sector’s development.

The Government of Jharkhand also expressed its willingness to participate in the forthcoming CII Mining & Construction Equipment Summit scheduled on 14 July 2026 in New Delhi, reinforcing its commitment towards deeper engagement with industry and collaborative development of the mining and construction equipment ecosystem.
The session concluded with a shared commitment towards strengthening collaboration between Government and industry and supporting the long-term growth and development of the mining and construction equipment sector in the country.

सरकार ने पुलिस विभाग में बड़ा फेरबदल करते हुए डीएसपी स्तर के कई अधिकारियों का तबादला कर दिया है। गृह, कारा एवं आपदा प्रबंधन विभाग की ओर से जारी अधिसूचना में बड़ी संख्या में अधिकारियों को एक जिले से दूसरे जिले में स्थानांतरित करते हुए नई जिम्मेदारियां सौंपी गई हैं। इस आदेश के बाद कई जिलों की पुलिस व्यवस्था में बदलाव देखने को मिलेगा। तबादले के बाद कई अधिकारी नए जिलों में पदभार संभालेंगे, जबकि कुछ को विशेष इकाइयों और शाखाओं में जिम्मेदारी दी गई है। इससे संबंधित जिलों में पुलिस कार्यप्रणाली और नेतृत्व स्तर पर बदलाव देखने को मिल सकता है। विभागीय स्तर पर अधिकारियों को जल्द नई जगह योगदान देने का निर्देश दिया गया है। सरकार द्वारा जारी अधिसूचना के अनुसार तबादला आदेश तत्काल प्रभाव से लागू होगा। संबंधित अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिया गया है कि वे निर्धारित समय के भीतर नए पदस्थापन स्थल पर योगदान दें। पुलिस महकमे में इस बड़े फेरबदल को लेकर प्रशासनिक हलकों में चर्चा तेज है।
